SkiTips 1: The Fundamentals of Skiing
SkiTips 1 is intended for all levels of skiers and especially for beginners and intermediates.
This App has been created to help you learn to ski well. It teaches all the fundamental skiing skills required to turn and control your skis. It can be used as both a self teaching aide and as a supplement to ski lessons. If you are having lessons, I recommend that you watch the App before your lessons and then use the App afterwards to practice what you were taught during your lessons.
SkiTips 2: Advanced Skiing Techniques
Ski Tips 2 is intended for intermediate and advanced skiers.
To become a good, advanced skier you should be able to carve turns on all the runs on the mountain. The first Chapter teaches how to achieve that. It explains and demonstrates how to execute short and medium radius turns and shows how to ski varied radius turns.
SkiTips 3: Powder and Off Piste Skiing
SkiTips3 is for advanced skiers wanting to ski powder
This App teaches how to ski powder and difficult off-piste snow conditions. Using freeze frames and slow motion sequences it teaches all the many different ways of initiating and turning in untracked snow and demonstrates the common errors to be avoided. It starts with the down-up-down powder turn, which is the basic turn that every powder skier should master. It then teaches how to turn in difficult snow conditions such as heavy snow, wet snow and breakable crust using Jump Turns, Jet Turns, Anticipation, Banking, Counter turns, Modified avalement and “Punching”.
