Side Slipping

Side slipping is a good way to descend a steep slope that you don’t feel confident skiing turns. Its also an excellent exercise to learn how to use your feet and ankles to edge and control your skis. When side slipping, remain in a good traverse position, with your chest facing down the fall-line. Practice using your feet and ankles to control the speed of descent as you slide down the slope. Practice on the side of the run.
