Skiers ‘skate’ to move quickly across a flat terrain. When skating, you learn how to properly use your ski edges, how to roll your feet and ankles, how to glide and how to transfer your weight from ski to ski. Be sure to roll your foot inwards to set your ski edge so that when you push off the ski, the ski won’t slip and then lean your body out over the gliding ski.
