Traverse and Stop

Except when shussing the fall-line, your body should always be in the Traverse position. Having a good traverse position is very important as its the fundamental element of all skiing at all levels. Stand with your skis perpendicular to the fallline and have everything that is uphill slightly in front of its downhill counter part so that your chest will be turned slightly downhill. The steeper the run, the more your chest should face downhill.
