The Traverse is a core Telemark exercise. Position yourself with the downhill foot in front and the uphill foot behind. Keep the pelvis locked down the hill to accentuate the separation between your upper and lower body. Keep the shoulders oriented in the same direction as your path. Look ahead, not down, and keep your arms in front of you, relaxed and bent.
